PROINVERSIÓN LAUNCHES CALL FOR BIDS FOR GROUP 1 PROJECTS UNDER THE 2025-2034 TRANSMISSION PLAN UNDER A PPP MODALITY
On October 17 and 18, 2025, PROINVERSIÓN published the call for bids for the Public Competition for Comprehensive Projects to award concessions for Group 1 projects under the 2025-2034 Electricity Transmission Plan, under the self-financed public-private partnership modality.
The Grantor will be the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), and PROINVERSIÓN is in charge of conducting the process. The objective of the project is to benefit more than 1.6 million people and improve the capacity and reliability of the electricity transmission system.
The successful bidder will be the bidder offering the lowest total project service cost, as defined in Annex 4 of the Terms and Conditions.
Group 1 comprises four projects in Piura, Lambayeque, Junín, and Ayacucho, with a total reference investment of approximately US$ 252 million (excluding VAT):
- 500 kV Miguel Grau – Pariñas link and 500/220 kV Pariñas substation – Piura (US$ 86 million)
- 220 kV Felam – Tierras Nuevas – Salitral – Lambayeque links (US$ 74 million)
- New Palián 220/60 kV substation and associated connections – Junín (US$ 82 million)
- 220 kV Muyurina – Mollepata – Ayacucho connection (US$ 10 million)
