Telecommunications Alert – June 2025

Procedures to review interconnection rates and charges for mobile services, transport and internet access

On June 9, 2025 the following resolutions were published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, which provided for the initiation of various procedures for the review of rates and cap charges:

1. Resolution No. 00054-2025-CD/OSIPTEL, on the review of cap interconnection charges for call termination for various mobile services: mobile telephony, Personal Communications Service and Trunking.
2. Resolution No. 00055-2025-CD/OSIPTEL, on the revision of the cap rate for Internet transport service in the Regional Broadband Projects.
3. Resolution No. 00056-2025-CD/OSIPTEL, on the revision and/or fixing of Internet access service cap rates for public institutions of the Regional Broadband Projects.

Resolution No. 00054-2025-CD/OSIPTEL, on mobile services, granted the companies involved a term of fifty (50) working days from its publication to submit their proposals for the interconnection cap charge. The Resolutions referred to the Regional Broadband Projects, on the other hand, granted a term of twenty (20) working days for the presentation of tariff proposals by the affected companies.
