On September 14, 2024, Directorial Resolution No. 629-2024 MGP/DICAPI was published, which provides for a consultation with the maritime community on the proposal to approve the draft Regulatory Directorial Resolution approving the “Guidelines and standards for the removal or disposal of abandoned or disused facilities and structures located in the aquatic environment”
- In April 2024, DICAPI’s Aquatic Environment Director recommended approving the update of the guidelines and standards for the removal of facilities and structures located at sea, in accordance with current and applicable national and international standards and regulations, including the Convention on the Prevention of Pollution at Sea by Dumping and Other Matters, and the Regulations of the Law of the National Environmental Impact Assessment System, among others.
- The draft may be reviewed on DICAPI’s website. Proposals, opinions and recommendations should be sent to DICAPI’s Aquatic Environment Director.
