Claudio Ferrero specializes in transactional mining matters, and mergers & acquisitions. 

He has extensive experience negotiating and structuring mergers & acquisitions, financings, due diligence for companies and mining projects, option contracts, joint ventures, streaming and shareholders agreements. He also provides general corporate and mining regulatory advice.

Claudio negotiates and designs corporate structures to align contractual, tax and economic interests. He has significant experience in obtaining permits and administrative licenses, including negotiating and finalizing agreements with local communities to facilitate the operation of mining projects. His practice also includes involvement in privatization processes, legal stability agreements and foreign investment.

He was appointed as in-house counsel for Las Bambas Mining Company S.A. (2014). He has also been a visiting lawyer at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York (2013-2014) and intern at the Inter-American Human Rights Commission in Washington D.C. (2003).

Claudio worked as teaching assistant of the Mining Law course at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP, 2010-2011).
