Jorge Pérez-Taiman is an expert in hydrocarbon law. He specializes in legal advice on exploration, exploitation, refining, transportation, distribution and commercialization of oil and gas, and services related to these industries. 

He provides general advice on oil and gas matters. He is an expert in the regulation of oil and gas companies, regulatory audits, negotiation of exploration and production licenses and contracts, as well as concessions for the transportation and distribution of natural gas. He also advises on the implementation of gas processing plants, including regasification plants, petrochemical and LNG complexes. 

Jorge has served as Legal Vice President of Occidental Peruana Inc. (1977-1990), and Assistant General Counsel of Occidental International Exploration & Production Co. (1990-1996) in California, having been in charge of the company’s international operations. He has negotiated oil and gas contacts in Egypt, Syria, Qatar, Pakistan, Albania, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, and Argentina.
