José Govea specializes in corporate, commercial and civil matters, and in privacy and data protection laws.
José advises companies and investors in the evaluation and mitigation of legal risks associated with their corporate and commercial operations. He participates in the design of legal structures for the establishment and development of businesses in Peru, and in the structuring and negotiation of civil, commercial and corporate transactions.
José’s practice also focuses on privacy and data protection laws, including compliance issues. He also represents clients in administrative proceedings initiated by the Peruvian Data Protection Authority and in ARCO rights requests.
He is part of the Firm’s pro bono team.
Likewise, José has been an assistant professor of Corporate Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP).
