Maritza Reátegui heads our Life Sciences practice area. 

She provides legal counsel to companies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, health products —cosmetics, personal and household hygiene products—, pesticides for domestic and public health use, medical devices, natural products, cannabis, food and beverages. 

She has served as Chairman of the Diversity Committee and the Regulatory Committee of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) and currently holds the position of Chair of the Health Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (AmCham Peru). 

Maritza serves as director of the Master's Program in Intellectual Property with a specialization in Pharmaceutical Law at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH). She also lectures at various universities in Peru, Mexico, and Argentina, on subjects related to Life Sciences and Intellectual Property. 

She is a professor in the Training Course on Intellectual Property at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on health regulation issues. 

International publications such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, and Lexology Index (formerly Who's Who Legal) recognize her as one of the leading Life Sciences lawyers in Peru.
