Paul Castritius specializes in banking and finance law, mergers & acquisitions, and capital markets. 

He counsels individuals, companies and national and foreign financial institutions on public and private operations of issuance or sale of debt instruments, shares, participations in mutual and investment funds, and water instruments, and asset securitization processes. 

Paul also counsels on the constitution of guarantees, trusts, financial leasing, reorganization and acquisition of companies, contracting of derivative instruments, formation of investment funds, as well as in matters related to regulations of the public offer of acquisition (OPA), public offer of purchase (OPC), public offer of redemption and exchange of investment shares, improper use of privileged information and other matters of the capital and financial markets. 

He has advised local and international entities on the launch of regulated institutions within the financial system and capital markets, assisting them in the development of their operations and providing advice on routine and complex procedures before regulatory bodies. 

With over a decade of leadership positions within the Superintendency of the Securities Market (SMV), Paul has played a key role in the evolution of the regulatory framework for the financial sector in Peru. He was a member of the committee responsible for drafting the current Securities Market Law, led the development of regulations on asset securitization and public offerings of securities, and participated in the development of other strategic regulations that remain in force. He also prepared the reform of the trust legislation, thus significantly contributing to its development in the country. 

He frequently appears in specialized financial media as an interviewee, analyzing recent legal developments in the securities market. He has also served as president of the Legal Committee of Procapitales and as a member of its board of directors. 

Paul has taught courses related to capital market legislation at the Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP).
