Thalia Villegas specializes in national and international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration and civil law. 

Her practice focuses on the sponsorship of arbitration litigation and the preparation of legal opinions for the diagnosis of arbitration disputes. 

The related industry sectors she has seen in her arbitration experience are mainly construction, mining, hydrocarbons, real estate and food industry. Thalia has experience in arbitrations administered by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), the Arbitration Center of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (AmCham Peru). 

In addition, Thalia is a teaching assistant at the PUCP for the Private International Law and Commercial and Investment Arbitration courses, as well as for the Investment Arbitration and Legal Skills courses at the Universidad del Pacífico (UP). She is a regular speaker at various academic events on arbitration, and has published and edited specialized articles on the subject.
