SBS Draft Regulations
The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Fund Administrators (“SBS”) authorizes the publication of the draft Regulation for the provision of services under the Banking as a Service (BaaS) model. Through SBS Resolution No. 01371-2026, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on May 11, 2026, the SBS authorized the dissemination of the aforementioned draft, which regulates a service delivery model in which an SBS-supervised entity—the BaaS service provider—enables third parties, whether or not supervised by the SBS—referred to as recipients—to offer financial services through its regulated infrastructure, via digital, remote-access, and automated connections and integrations, while maintaining regulatory and prudential responsibility.
