APPROVAL OF AN EXCEPTIONAL REGIME FOR THE PAYMENT OF FINES IN PRODUCE AND SANIPES
By means of Supreme Decree No. 013-2026-PRODUCE, published on September 29, an exceptional and temporary regime was approved for the payment of fines applicable to the Fisheries and Aquaculture Subsectors of the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) and the National Authority for Fisheries and Aquaculture Health and Safety (SANIPES).
The aforementioned regime covers outstanding fines and outstanding balances of fines subject to installment payment arrangements that are currently in progress; fines that are still within the period for filing an appeal; fines that have been challenged through administrative or judicial proceedings; and fines imposed as a result of sanctioning proceedings pending during the term of this Supreme Decree, provided that they relate to infringements in the Fisheries and Aquaculture Subsectors.
The applicable discounts are 50% for fines imposed from March 2019 through December 2021 and 40% for the other applicable periods. The period for applying for the benefits under this regime will remain open for the duration of the state of emergency declared for these subsectors pursuant to Supreme Decree No. 012-2026-PRODUCE.
