BAN AND AUTHORIZATIONS
- RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING GIANT SQUID CATCH QUOTA AMENDED: Ministerial Resolution No. 415-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 13, amended paragraph g) of section 3.3 of article 3 of Ministerial Resolution No. 123-2025-PRODUCE, which establishes the maximum total allowable catch limit for giant squid, establishing an advance quota charged to the 2026 quota, as well as for the accounting of three (3) fishery trips until December 31.
- EXCEPTIONAL EXTENSION OF THE RIVER SHRIMP FISHERY SEASON: By Ministerial Resolution No. 429-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 19, the river shrimp fishery season in public waters on the western slope of the Andes was exceptionally extended until January 2, 2026.
- ESTABLISHES ADVANCE PAYMENT OF ANCHOVY QUOTA FOR CHD FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY TO JULY 2026: Ministerial Resolution No. 432-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 25, established the advance total maximum catch limit for direct human consumption of anchovy for the period from January 1 to July 31, 2026. The quota is 75,000 tons, applicable to the entire coastline for artisanal and small-scale vessels.
- PROVISIONAL EEL FISHERY REGIME ESTABLISHED FOR 2026: Ministerial Resolution No. 433-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 25, established a provisional eel fishery regime for 2026 with a quota of 5,740 tons.
- DEEP-SEA COD QUOTA ESTABLISHED FOR 2026: Ministerial Resolution No. 434-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 25, established a quota of 170 tons for deep-sea cod fishery for 2026.
- FIRST ANCHOVY FISHERY SEASON IN THE SOUTHERN ZONE AUTHORIZED: Through Ministerial Resolution No. 435-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 28, the start of the first anchovy fishery season in the southern zone was authorized, in the maritime area between 16°00'LS and the southern end of the maritime domain for the period January-June 2026, with a quota of 251,000 tons.
- BONITO QUOTA ESTABLISHED FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY TO APRIL 2026: Through Ministerial Resolution No. 438-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 31, a bonito fishery quota of 40,779 tons was established for the period January-April 2026.
- FISHERY QUOTA FOR HORSE MACKEREL AND MACKEREL ESTABLISHED FOR 2026: Ministerial Resolution No. 441-2025-PRODUCE, published in the special edition of the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 31, established fishery quotas for horse mackerel and mackerel for 2026 at 88,317 and 42,181 tons, respectively.
GENERAL REGULATIONS
- RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING SATELLITE SYSTEM IN SMALL ARTISANAL VESSELS OF 10 m³ OR LESS AMENDED: By Ministerial Resolution No. 412-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 1, the annex to Ministerial Resolution No. 439-2024-PRODUCE was amended, establishing the program to facilitate the equipping of vessels with a hold capacity of less than or equal to 10 m³ with the corresponding satellite tracking equipment for fishery vessels (SISESAT).
- USE OF LONGLINE ESTABLISHED AS THE ONLY AUTHORIZED FISHERY GEAR FOR PARROTFISH: Ministerial Resolution No. 419-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 16, established the use of surface longline as the only authorized fishery gear for catching parrotfish.
- PROVISIONS OF MINISTERIAL RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING CATCH LIMITS FOR MACKEREL AND HADDOCK REPEALED: By Ministerial Resolution No. 423-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 16, subparagraph g) of paragraph 6.1 and subparagraph f) of paragraph 6.2 of Article 6 of Ministerial Resolution No. 273-2025-PRODUCE, which established catch limits for horse mackerel and mackerel for the period September-December 2025, were repealed.
- MODIFICATION OF HEALTH REGULATIONS FOR LIVE BIVALVE MOLLUSKS: By means of Supreme Decree No. 023-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 18, the health regulations for live bivalve mollusks approved by Supreme Decree No. 007-2004-PRODUCE were modified.
- MODIFICATION OF THE REGULATIONS ON MARINE MACROALGAE: Supreme Decree No. 024-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on December 23, modified the Regulations on the Management of Marine Macroalgae approved by Supreme Decree No. 019-2009-PRODUCE
