I. GIANT SQUID OR POTA FISHERY ACTIVITIES SUSPENDED

By means of Directorial Resolution No. 162-2025-PRODUCE, published on the Ministry of Production's website on September 8, fishery activities for giant squid or pota were suspended as of 12:00 a.m. on September 10. Unloading will be permitted up to 48 hours after the start of the suspension.

II. ESTABLISHMENT OF A REPRODUCTIVE CLOSED SEASON FOR SILVER DRAW

Ministerial Resolution No. 307-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on September 14, established a nationwide reproductive ban on silverside for a period of 30 calendar days from midnight on September 15.

III. FAN SHELL EXTRACTION AUTHORIZED ON ISLA LOBOS DE TIERRA

By Ministerial Resolution No. 316-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on September 17, the extraction of 95.72 tons of scallops measuring more than 25 mm and less than 66 mm in shell height was authorized in the area of Lobos de Tierra Island, which is part of the National Reserve System of Islands, Islets, and Guaneras Points. Extractive activity will be carried out until the aforementioned quota is reached or, failing that, until December 31, 2025.

IV. CATCH LIMIT ESTABLISHED FOR PARROT RESOURCES FOR THE 2025-2026 SEASON

Ministerial Resolution No. 322-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on September 25, established the maximum catch limit for parrotfish at 62,000 tons, applicable to the season from October 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026.

V. CHANGES TO THE CATCH LIMIT FOR GIANT SQUID OR POTATO SQUID

Ministerial Resolution No. 323-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on September 25, articles of Ministerial Resolution No. 123-2025-PRODUCE were modified, establishing the catch limit for giant squid or pota at 559,804 tons for the period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

I. ESTABLISHMENT OF THE DEGREE OF EXPLOITATION OF VARIOUS RESOURCES AS FULLY EXPLOITED

Ministerial Resolution No. 299-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on September 10, established the degree of exploitation of various resources as fully exploited, in accordance with the Annex published with said resolution.

II. RULES FOR THE COMPETITION FOR THE ALLOCATION OF THE HIGH SEAS HAKE QUOTA APPROVED

By means of Directorial Resolution No. 162-2025-PRODUCE, published on the Ministry of Production's website on September 5, the “Rules for the Public Competition for the Allocation of the Horse Mackerel Quota granted to the Peruvian State by the OROP-PS” for the year 2025 were approved and published in the Annex to said resolution.

III. APPROVAL OF FISHERY LOG FOR ANGUILERA VESSELS

Ministerial Resolution No. 325-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on September 25, approved the “Fishery Log for Anguileras Vessels,” which is included as an annex to said resolution.

I. APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS AT SANIPES

By means of Executive Presidency Resolution No. 101-2025-SANIPES/PE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on September 10, Mr. César Miguel Mejía Soria was appointed director of the Licensing and Certification Department of the National Authority for Health and Safety in Fisheries and Aquaculture (SANIPES).

II. APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

By Ministerial Resolution No. 312-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on September 17, Mr. Martín Alexis Rodríguez Uribe was appointed director of the Environmental Management Directorate of the General Directorate of Environmental Affairs for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Vice Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production.
