Resolution of the National Superintendence of Public Registries No. 0014-2023-SUNARP/SN was published, which approves the publication of the draft that modifies the Regulations for the Registration of Vessels, Fishery Vessels and Ships (hereinafter, “the Registration Regulations”).
The purpose of the resolution is to adapt and simplify the requirements and procedures for the registration of acts and rights related to vessels, in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 1400 and its regulations.
The draft regulation amends the “Regulations on Registration of Ships, Fishery Vessels and Ships”, changing its name to “Regulations on Registration of Ships and Vessels” and updating several articles to clarify registration requirements and processes. A new Chapter IV is added establishing guidelines for the registration and cancellation of charges and encumbrances, including specific requirements and expiration terms. It details the conditions for the annotation of liens and precautionary measures, as well as provisions on the renewal and cancellation of these registrations.
The public has until October 12 to make comments or contributions, which should be sent to https://mesadetramite.sunarp.gob.pe/, or to the following e-mail addresses: eyanac@sunarp.gob.pe and sdiaz@sunarp.gob.pe.
