PROINVERSIÓN LAUNCHES CALL FOR TENDERS FOR THE CONCESSION OF A WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM IN CAJAMARCA UNDER THE PPP MODEL
On October 17, 2025, PROINVERSIÓN published in the Official Gazette El Peruano the call for bids for the Public Tender for Comprehensive Projects for the concession of the project “Wastewater Treatment for Final Disposal or Reuse in the City of Cajamarca (PTAR Cajamarca),” which will be developed under a co-financed public-private partnership (the “Project”).
The Project involves a reference investment of approximately US$ 283.38 million (excluding VAT) and aims to provide the city of Cajamarca with a modern, efficient, and sustainable wastewater treatment system, contributing to the improvement of environmental and sanitary conditions in the region. The Ministry of Housing, Construction, and Sanitation (MVCS) will assume 100% of the co-financing of the Project, in addition to partially covering the operating and maintenance costs during the initial stage, in accordance with the provisions of the terms and conditions and draft contract.
The concession will be granted for a period of 26 years, which includes the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of all infrastructure associated with wastewater treatment.

The right to participate in the tender is US$1,000. The award of the contract is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
