OSIPTEL APPROVES CONSOLIDATED TEXT OF TERMS OF USE FOR PUBLIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES
On December 26, Resolution No. 032-2025-CD/OSIPTEL, which approved the new Consolidated Text of Terms of Use for Public Telecommunications Services (the “Terms of Use”), was published in the Official Gazette, El Peruano.
The new text contains several stylistic changes to make it more accessible. It also eliminates regulations for various services considered “obsolete,” including:
- Voicemail
- Payment cards
- Subscriber directories
- Telephone directory
- Voice mail services
- Among others
The regulation also introduces changes to various procedures, such as migration, service cancellation, and SIM card replacement, among others.
