He advises mining companies on regulatory and environmental matters throughout the development of mining projects, with a particular focus on designing and implementing strategies to secure licenses, permits, and authorizations; representing clients in administrative proceedings; and conducting legal compliance audits covering environmental, regulatory, and occupational health and safety obligations.
Sebastian has extensive experience defending clients in administrative enforcement and sanctioning proceedings before key regulatory authorities, including the Environmental Evaluation and Enforcement Agency (OEFA), the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin), and the National Water Authority (ANA). He also advises on legal due diligence processes in mergers and acquisitions, as well as financing transactions involving mining projects.
