DIRECTORATE RESOLUTION NO. 839-25-MGP/DICAPI
The Director General of Port Captaincies and Coast Guard of the Peruvian Navy issued Directorate Resolution No. 839-25-MGP/DICAPI, published on November 15, 2025, ordering the relocation of anchorage areas in the Bay of the Port of Callao and adjacent zones, in accordance with Annex “E” of Directorate Resolution No. 234-2020-MGP/DGCG and amended by Directorate Resolution No. 614-2023-MGP/DICAPI, which forms an integral part of this directorate resolution, within the jurisdiction of the Port Captaincy of Callao.
Key additions:
- Reincorporation of anchorages: The relocation of anchorage areas for different classes of vessels, delimited according to the World Geodetic System (WGS-84), is approved:
- Area A: artisanal fishing vessels.
- Area B: artisanal fishing vessels.
- Area C: charter vessels and tugboats.
- Area D: tourist vessels.
- Area 4: bay vessels.
- Area 7: nuclear-powered vessels and conventional vessels using nuclear or radioactive material.
- Usage Restrictions: Anchorage areas are prohibited for navigation, fishing, extraction, and recreational and sporting activities. Their use is exclusively for anchoring ships and/or vessels.
- Obligations of Maritime Agents and Shipowners: Maritime agents and owners must inform captains and skippers about applicable restrictions, based on the type of vessel, cargo, and operation, to ensure the safety of persons at sea and prevent aquatic incidents.
