IPRESS: Obligation to Declare Biomedical Equipment and Infrastructure
Private clinics, polyclinics, and other healthcare facilities that qualify as Healthcare Service Provider Institutions (IPRESS) must report, on a quarterly basis, their biomedical equipment and infrastructure to the National Registry of Healthcare Service Provider Institutions (RENIPRESS).
The declaration must be submitted using the standardized formats set out in the User Manual of the Biomedical Equipment and Infrastructure Sworn Statement Module (EBIO-INFRA), approved by Superintendence Resolution No. 084-2025-SUSALUD/S.
What information must be reported?
- Available and operational biomedical equipment: These are operational medical devices that comprise electrical, electronic, hydraulic and/or hybrid systems and subsystems, as well as the software necessary for healthcare delivery, including assisted patient transport units.
- Infrastructure for the provision of healthcare services: This refers to the set of structural and non-structural elements, as well as building installations and equipment, within a facility that enable the delivery of healthcare services and activities.
The biomedical equipment and infrastructure to be reported are those that, at the time the declaration is submitted, are under the possession or control of the IPRESS, regardless of their ownership or title.
How often must the declaration be submitted?
The declaration must be submitted on a quarterly basis, for the following periods each year:
- First quarter: from January 1 to March 31.
- Second quarter: from April 1 to June 30.
- Third quarter: from July 1 to September 30.
- Fourth quarter: from October 1 to December 31.
