The Transformation of Nonprofit Legal Entities into Corporations
Our associates, José Govea and Alejandro Tafur, participated as co-authors in the book Peruvian Corporate Law Studies, published by the Derecho & Sociedad journal.
Their chapter, “The Transformation of Nonprofit Legal Entities into Corporations,” examines the evolution of this mechanism introduced by the 1997 General Corporations Law, as well as the interpretive criteria established by the Registry Tribunal that have influenced its application. The authors emphasize how this regulation positioned Peru at the forefront of corporate law in the region.
