National Water Authority Approves Directive on the Use of Its Digital Filing Desk and Electronic Mailbox
On October 6, 2026, Headship Resolution No. 0250-2026-ANA was published in the Official Gazette El Peruano, through which the National Water Authority approved Directive No. DI 0003-2026-ANA/OA-UATD, the Directive Establishing the Provisions for the Use of the Digital Filing Desk and the Electronic Mailbox of that entity. The directive will enter into force on October 13, 2026. The most relevant aspects of the directive are as follows:
- The digital filing desk is an IT application for the submission of documents and the initiation of proceedings. The electronic mailbox is the administered party's digital domicile for the notification of administrative acts and actions. Both operate jointly through the same application.
- To access this alternative channel, administered parties must create an account and obtain access credentials. The username and password may be obtained through the following link: https://casilla.ana.gob.pe/casilla.
- The digital filing desk will be available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Documents filed on a business day between 00:00 and 23:59 hours will be deemed filed on that same day, while those filed on non-business days will be deemed filed on the next following business day.
- Notifications will be made through the electronic mailbox from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Notifications made after 5:00 p.m. or on a non-business day will be deemed made on the next business day.
- For each notification, an alert will be sent to the email address and mobile phone number registered by the administered party.
- The exchange of documents between the National Water Authority and other public entities will be carried out through the State Interoperability Platform. If any such entity is not interconnected with that platform, the exchange will be carried out through the digital filing desk or the in-person filing desk.
